Run the daily workflow

Record the physical operation as it happens, from a driver’s arrival to completed door work and departure.

A live customer visit#

  1. Check in.

The driver scans the entrance QR, finds the appointment by reference, and confirms their name, tractor, equipment, and trailer. Temperature-required equipment needs a reading in the facility’s configured unit.

  2. Review the waiting visit.

The arrival appears in Yard → Waiting. Scheduled time remains separate from check-in time. Review late visits and no-shows in Needs attention.

  3. Call the driver to a door.

Direct the driver to a position or call them in. The called door is reserved while they approach. Record actual arrival and work start with the explicit actions.

  4. Complete the work.

Use the supported door actions and record reasons for exceptions or cancellation. A request timestamp is not the actual arrival time.

  5. Report departure.

The driver uses the exit QR at checkout. Staff resolve exceptions and authorize physical exit under the facility’s procedures.

Drops and later pickups#

Record a drop explicitly so the tractor and driver become independent from the trailer. The trailer stays in inventory. A detached customer trailer needs a shuttle to reach a door, then a pull back to the yard after work.

For a later pickup, confirm the correct trailer and tractor before hook and departure. Staff handle tractor-only departures; the public checkout form currently requires a trailer number.

Shuttle moves and pulls#

Dock staff request a trailer or eligible type. Transportation assigns the shuttle, records the hook when required, starts the move, and confirms actual arrival or completion.

When ready-to-leave creates a pull request, the door remains occupied until transportation confirms the pull. Checkout does not replace that step.

Handle an exception#

The yard map shows recorded state; it is not GPS tracking. Reconcile it with the physical operation.
